I have been neglecting this blog for quite some time.  This fall was one of my busiest seasons to date.  I enjoyed having the opportunity to photograph some repeat clients and some new clients.  As my children get older, it seems like the time flies by so fast that I have hard time keeping up.
I have made a decision to spend more time with my children this summer and with that decision means I will be only photographing once a month.  Time flies so fast and the kids keep growing as I am wishing them to slow down.  My daughter Kamryn will graduate in 5 years, my son Blake in 6 years.  I need to stop and smell the roses and cherish the time I have with them.
I will be posting dates for the upcoming summer here on this blog.  So if you are thinking you are want family photos or Senior Photographs please be sure to contact me.  I am not taking on any more Weddings this year.
I want to thank you all for your continued support and hope to see some of you this Spring as we get better weather.

I know it has been a long time since I have posted on this blog. I am going to try to do a better job of keeping this updated.  I love doing photography, initially I started doing this as a side job because I needed an additional income.  It never  really feels like work, but I took this year to try to concentrate on my children (Kamryn 13 and Blake 12). As most parents know, it only seems to get busier as the kids get older with school activities and sports.

I am constantly trying to improve my work.  I like to consult other photographers for constructive critism and sometimes the brutal truth hurts, but its the only way I will grow as a photographer. I do know that alot of people have different styles. Some photographers like to do themes and as I don't mind doing things during the holiday, I like to take photos that I would like in my own home.  I love up close shots of my children, that way I can see their features.  I hope to have some of my fall collection up this week.

It's been a while-I've been busy!!

Has it really been since August? I have been slacking off and I need to get back to the grind of updating this weekly.  My absence has been somewhat of a good thing.  I have been busy! August, September and October I finished up Senior Sessions for local 2012 graduates.  I really enjoy taking Senior photos. I feel like its where I shine!! Here's my thought on why....first of all, most of these kids like and want to have their photos taken. So directions seem to flow a little easier than family sessions. Let's face it, most grown men don't like to have photos taken, my husband included!  So, trying to direct a family session takes a little more time because you are dealing with more than one subject.
My Senior sessions were primarily boys this year. I had one girl which was a nice change at the end of the season.  Here are a few examples of the faces I photographed. Do any of them look familiar to you? I photographed soon to be grads from Bath High School, Elida High School, and Lima Central Catholic.

2011 Summer Senior Sessions

What a crazy, wild and busy summer! I realized I have not updated my blog in over a month!! I have been very busy thanks to my wonderful clients! The last few weeks have been filled with Senior Sessions. It's a busy time of year trying to get those Senior photos in before school starts.  Every student has in mind what time of year bests suits them.  I have been very lucky to have had the pleasure to photograph Senior Students from Bath High School, Elida High School and Lima Central Catholic. Here are a few examples of the Seniors I have photographed. Enjoy!

Rocco Wells-Summer Session

This is Rocco's second photo shoot with me.  He has grown so much since the last time I took his photos. I had just acquired a new chair that I was dying to use and I thought this was a perfect opportunity for Rocco to try it out.  He is such an easy baby to photograph, which makes my job a lot easier!

I know I have mentioned many times how much I adore candid photos. I almost like them more than staged.  I think you get a more geniune look out of a child that way.  This was another favorite of mine.

Kamryn Paige ~ My daughter

I wanted to share a few photos of my daughter.  She's at the age where she doesn't mind having her photos taken.  I know I am partial, because she is my daughter but I was very pleased with her serious expressions. I cannot believe how fast time flies when you have children.  I am glad to have the opportunity to take photos of my kids so I can visually see how they grow in front of my eyes.

The Barker Clan

This is the third photo session I have done for the Barkers. The kids are so pleasant. Bree, John and Boston were familiar with me and would really ham it up for me.  This was the first time I took Stacy and Cameron's photos and it took a little longer for Cameron to warm up.  Once we broke through the ice he was smiling and having a good time.
